Dr. Ben R. Jordan

Senior Advisor

Dr. Ben R. Jordan is a proven supply chain sustainability leader with vast experience driving business change, environmental impact, and developing the next generation of sustainability professionals. Over a 30-year journey with The Coca-Cola Company, he worked in both its North American and global organizations, traveling in over 50 countries to drive programs across Coca-Cola’s global supply chain. He held roles focused on both internal operational issues and relationship-building with key stakeholders.

Over the years, Ben has participated actively in Coca-Cola’s involvement with a number of leading environmental organizations, including Business for Social Responsibility (BSR), the Coalition for Environmentally Responsible Economies (CERES), World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and The Nature Conservancy (TNC). He sat on the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s New Plastics Economy Advisory Board, Steering Committee for the Consumer Goods Forum’s (CGF) Plastic Waste Coalition and Steering Board of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Global Plastic Action Partnership

He is currently a citizen member of the Metro North Georgia Water Planning District Governing Board and Advisory Board of Chattahoochee Riverkeeper.

Ben has Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Civil & Environmental Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and serves as an Educational Counselor for MIT, interviewing prospective undergraduate students from the Atlanta area. He has a Ph.D. in Public Policy (Environmental Policy specialty) from Georgia Tech, where he sits on an Arts Advisory Board. Ben is an adjunct instructor at Georgia Tech and Emory University, where he teaches courses on Sustainable Business Strategy.

Ben lives in Decatur, Georgia, with his wife, Mary Beth, and sons, Jack (19) and Parker (18), where he served as a founding member of the City of Decatur Environmental Sustainability Board, helping drive efforts in one of metro Atlanta’s most progressive municipalities.

Ben's childhood on a peach farm in rural Georgia led to his interest in conservation and his career in the sustainability field. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, golfing, traveling with family, and just about anything that gets him outside in nature.
