Matthew Toral
Director, Finance and Operations
Matthew is a strategic leader focused on driving sustainable growth. He specializes in translating complex financial data into actionable operational plans, empowering organizations to scale with confidence.
Before joining Clear Strategy, Matthew served as Director of Finance & Operations at KnowledgeHook. There, he architected the financial and operational processes required to support 5x company growth. By assembling high-performing teams and developing rigorous management frameworks, he provided the foundation necessary for data-backed decision-making.
Matthew also brings enterprise-level experience from Sun Life Financial, where he led financial systems transformation while managing multi-functional corporate budgets with exceptional fiscal discipline. His background in digital transformation and strategic planning has consistently positioned him as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders.
Outside of the office, he serves as Treasurer for the Little Portugal Toronto Business Improvement Area, supporting over 400 local members. Matthew holds an MBA in Finance and Strategic Leadership from Wilfrid Laurier University and lives in Toronto with his wife and two children.
